FADE
IN:
In the late 1990's the public paid through
taxes over $58 million to build the Wapato Jail. But as the economy
slowed taxpayers got tired of footing the bill for cost over-runs,
and after the local government decided to spend the money on other
things, the jail was completed but never opened. It sat empty for
the last two years before Silverheart Technologies, a publicly traded
owned company, purchased the building. Richard Glover, the President
of Silverheart, said "I believe by bailing out the taxpayers and by
running this facility as a business we can get criminals off the street
and rehabilitate them for a safe return to the community."
And so begins "LOCKDOWN"
Today should be the best day in the life of Jimmy Chambers, he and
his wife are expecting their first child at any moment, he is the
head guard of a new jail and everything seems right in his world.
But "should be" does not mean will be. There was no way to prepare
for a murder and an escape. With the board of directors and President
of the company which owns the jail there for a visit, Jimmy must lockdown
the jail, control the situation and solve the mystery in less than
24 hours. As Jimmy tries to reconcile his personal demons he must
deal with the challenges of the present. Jimmy learns that the choices
he made in the past effect the choices he makes today. We follow Jimmy
along his journey to come to terms with those choices in what amounts
to a story of revenge, redemption, and hope. |
